Relationships are Hard

Relationships can be a double edged sword. You are blessed with someone that encourages you and loves you...and you are stuck with someone who will show you their worst side. Whether married or not, it is important to compromise and find some balance. You must be okay with the fact that at times you might give 100% and your husband 0%. Other days it might be switched. When he is in a bad mood, it is important to think of the ways why you fell in love with him. It is so easy to the faults of others; but have you ever considered that you may not be the perfect angel either?

I highly recommend the book Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus. It shares different circumstances and how each gender views the scenario. It then shows you how to blend those different mindsets to make a unified situation. The other important matter is to be able to say that you are wrong.Yes, sometimes it takes a lot of extra humility to admit it. There should be few examples where you will be 100%, no questions asked, correct. You should usually be able to be able to admit that you could be wrong. I would say at least half of disputes between partners involve both parties being on the same page, just misinterpreting each other. When disputes turn into arguments, communication and resolution is marred and open-mindedness is shut down. Couples should be able to walk away and know when to "take a breather" and come back when a more peaceful mindset. Sometimes all it takes is the guts to know when to step back and then realize the solution. All I have to say is communication is key and should be an ever revolving tool in your relationship.
